BRIEF HISTORY & INTRODUCTION

Islamia Faridia Higher Secondary School Kishtwar was established in 1905 AD by the eminent Intellectuals, Educationally advanced noble souls & dedicated personalities of Kishtwar as Anjuman Islamia. The institution was named in the name of famous reputed saint Hazrat Shah Mohammad Fareed Ud Din Baghdadi (RAH) Before independence, it was a middle school housed in a small building with a small play ground. In 1969, it was upgraded as High School & in the year 2002-2003 as Higher Secondary School. Since then the school is imparting qualitative Education without any discrimination of sex ,colour & creed to all sections of the society. The management was desirous in its expansion so that it may achieve its goals in all aspects for which our ancestors had established it. Subsequently, the dream came true when late B. A. Kichloo came forward & took an initiative for replacing the existing structure of the school by re constructing as multistoried building in the year 1999-2000.

Islamia Faridia Higher Secondary school is having its permanent registration with the Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir & is affiliated to the J&k Board of school Education upon 12th class standard. The school was being controlled & managed by Managing committee comprising of eminent educationists of National fame & well reputed public representatives under the umbrella of state Wakaf council headed by a full .

Time Administrator/ Chairman Auqaf Islamia Kishtwar .Presently, Zakir Hussain Wani JKAS is heading the institution in the capacity of Administrator/Executive officer J&K Waqf board Kishtwar.

Location.

Islamia Faridia Higher secondary School Kishtwar is located in the heart of Kishtwar town & is equipped with all modern facilities like library, laboratory, computer labs & indoor sports. The building is approachable by all types of routes & transport facilities upon the main gate of the school are available.

School Timing

• Summer: 10 .00 a.m.to 4.00 p.m
• Winter: 10.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.

Present Status

So for as the academic part of the institution is concern, It has classes from primary to 12th class to run having qualified, experienced & trained teaching faculty posted in the institution under the guidance of principal of the school .The school is following the guidelines of the Govt. particularly J&K Board of School Education the continuous comprehensive evaluation scheme, (CCE) is being strictly adhered to & adopted for conducting various tests/ examinations. In order to enhance & promote the academic growth of the teaching faculty, short term& long term refresher/ orientation courses are being organized from time to time for raising the educational standard & qualitative improvement. Detailed syllabi/ guidelines with regard to conduct of class tests / unit tests/ terminal test particularly under CCE scheme is being provided separately to the students for the guidance.

Important Note.

• The parents may visit at least twice in a month in the school to have information about the progress of their wards.
• The presence of parents whenever called for is compulsory on their part for achieving teacher/parent relationship.
• Sincere suggestions from parents for improvement in quality education are always welcomed.
• The parents are requested to deposit the monthly fee, of their wards without fail on the dates mentioned above.
• In case of breach of discipline, the school authorities are at liberty to take disciplinary action in order to maintain congenial atmosphere of the school.
• The students shall have to attend the school in their prescribed uniform on all working days. No exemption is allowed.
